The Region of Waterloo has had an effective toilet replacement program in place for many years. It has evolved and is now better than ever!
Rebates are available to all homeowners, landlords, churches, non-profit organizations and small businesses in Waterloo Region, with a connection to the municipal water supply system. You must be replacing an old toilet (13 litres or more) with a Region approved high efficiency toilet (HET) - which is a dual or single flush toilet that averages 4.8 litres per flush or less.

Landlords, churches, non-profit organizations and small businesses must call 519-575-4021 to register before replacing, and cannot use our online form.
We're sorry, but homes built after January 1, 1996, new bathroom additions, or residents on private wells do not qualify for the program.
The number of rebates available in the Region each year is limited, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a lifetime maximum of three toilet replacement rebates per residential property.

Higher toilets are popular today as they are easier to use. These are often known as "Right Height" or "Comfort Height" models.
Many are also available in both round front or elongated front.
